What an incredible day the NMI Conference 2025 turned out to be!

With a packed venue at the TIC in Glasgow and over 250 attendees, this year’s event was a true triumph. Featuring 32 outstanding exhibitors, it was by far our biggest and most impactful event to date!

We kicked off the day with powerful insights from government leaders and UK semiconductor clusters, highlighting the importance of a national presence and strategy, with a unified approach that goes beyond regional strengths.

From there, we delved into the critical market drivers, exploring how semiconductors are not just a catalyst for innovation, but a cornerstone for the future success of key industries and our economy. We also heard from an array of groundbreaking companies showcasing how, while the UK may be niche, we play an undeniably vital role in shaping the next wave of global growth.

The Conference addressed the following topics:

  • 2035 – The Deep Tech decade:  How will emerging markets drive the next £tn in semiconductor revenue?
  • Innovation Through New Materials & Technology:  Where will new semi-conductor materials & devices find future applications.
  • Semiconductors & sustainability Wide bandgap, smart energy and green fabs:  How can we achieve sustainability?
  • Interconnected world:  A lively debate with senior figures, as we discuss how the global supply chain is evolving.

From defence to AI, automotive to the very devices we use in our daily lives, microchips are the invisible force making modern society possible. Without them, nothing would function as we know it.

Let’s continue to champion this incredible industry, support the UK’s leadership in this field, and push the boundaries of what’s possible with TechWorks.

A heartfelt thank you to all who joined and contributed to this unforgettable event!
