STREM Chemicals UK Limited

Strem Chemicals, Inc. established in 1964, is a privately–held company that manufactures and markets specialty chemicals of high purity. Its clients include academic, industrial and government research and development laboratories as well as commercial scale businesses in the pharmaceutical, microelectronic and chemical / petrochemical industries. Strem also provides custom synthesis (including high pressure synthesis) and cGMP manufacturing services.

Strem’s corporate headquarters is located in Newburyport 38 miles (60km) north of Boston, Massachusetts, USA. This facility covers 48,000 sq. ft (4,460 m2). Its cGMP facility is FDA inspected. The European headquarters and warehouse are located in Bischheim, France.

Strem Chemicals has many long–term employees and instituted an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Program) in 2006. It was named the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce 2008 Business of the Year.

Scientists around the world have been working tirelessly to develop innovative approaches to not only treat COVID-19 but stop its spread. The virus’ ability to linger and travel outside the body in respiratory droplets makes COVID-19 highly contagious.

We continue to operate in COVID – secure environment in line with the UK Government guidelines.

As with most businesses when COVID struck in March and orders stopped we took the decision to furlough staff and minimise costs.

Thanks to the government help and return of industrial customer sales the business has managed to bring staff back and has had it’s best year to date.
