R&D Showcase: Integrating Wide Bandgap and High Performance Silicon Semiconductors into Systems
22nd October 2015 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Progress in wide bandgap semiconductors is opening up significant market opportunities in high performance electronic systems. However, to ensure maximum performance impact, this is creating significant challenges and opportunities in system design and integration that affects the entire value chain. At the same time, the application of systems thinking to high performance silicon-based systems are also developing at a rapid pace.
Recent Technology and business roadmapping by Powerelectronics UK has shown that there is considerable UK industrial and academic R&D activity across the high performance system value chain from materials growth through to system integration.
The purpose of this workshop is to showcase key R&D projects that are being carried out within the UK community, covering the supply chain and engaging key end markets such as Automotive, Aerospace and Energy.
The aim of the workshop is therefore not only to communicate current innovation activity, but provide the community a platform from which to collaborate and develop new ideas and projects.
