Founder,  Universal Atmosphere Processing (UAP)

Brendan Cornthwaite is the founder and CEO of UAP and a Visionary Award winner from the UK Space Agency, recognised for his pioneering work in atmospheric gas processing and industrial decarbonisation. With over a decade of experience in nuclear energy, large-scale energy systems, and mechanical engineering, he spearheads the development of UAP’s patent-pending technology, which integrates industrial gas recovery and carbon capture into a single, scalable system. Under his leadership, UAP has established partnerships with CERN, Fraunhofer, and leading research institutions to transform industrial gas supply, enhance supply chain resilience, and advance climate technology solutions that are both economically viable and globally scalable.

Presentation: Redefining Industrial Gas Supply & Decarbonisation: Atmospheric Processing for Sustainable Manufacturing

The semiconductor, aerospace, and industrial sectors are facing growing challenges due to noble gas shortages, unstable supply chains, and increasing decarbonisation pressures. Conventional gas extraction methods, such as cryogenic air separation, are highly energy-intensive, centralised, and vulnerable to geopolitical disruptions.

UAP is pioneering a new approach with UAP’s Atmospheric Processor™ (AP) that integrates carbon capture and industrial gas recovery into a single, scalable system. This breakthrough technology facilitates on-site production of neon, argon, krypton, and xenon while simultaneously capturing CO₂ and other greenhouse gases, offering industries a resilient, cost-effective alternative to traditional gas supply chains.

Key Topics Covered in This Talk:

The Future of Atmospheric Processing – How UAP’s gas separation technology enables high-efficiency noble gas extraction and carbon capture.
Solving Critical Supply Chain Risks – Why on-site atmospheric gas production is key to securing long-term availability of noble gases.
Scaling Clean Industrial Gas Supply – How UAP’s Gas-as-a-Service (GaaS) model allows industries to access noble gases and emissions reduction solutions without upfront CAPEX.

Economic & Environmental Impact – The cost savings, revenue potential from gas recovery, and the environmental benefits of reducing Scope emissions and creating Clean Air Zones.

By connecting industrial gas supply, decarbonisation, and economic sustainability, UAP’s Atmospheric Processor offers a practical, scalable, and commercially viable solution. It ensures that industries stay competitive in an increasingly volatile global market.
