Megatech Limited is the largest independent supplier of equipment and services to the semiconductor and thin film industries in the UK. Established in 1973, the company has built a well-founded reputation for the supply of quality products, in-depth technical expertise, and excellent customer service.

As an exclusive UK outlet for a number of US and European companies, Megatech sells to end users, researchers, and OEMs as well as supporting all products with both field and in-house service.

Megatech have a modern headquarters in the West Midlands with engineers located strategically around the UK. In recent years Megatech have opened facilities in Dublin and Leipzig to better serve our European customers.

International Sales and Service

Megatech Europe Limited has offices and stock facilities in the ROI for mainland Europe customers and Megatech GmbH are located in Dresden, Germany. Megacold LLC has cryopump sales and service facilities in the USA for US, Canada and South America. We also have Megacold sales agents in SE Asia.

History

Little did David and Margaret Coleman know the size of operation that the company would grow to when they founded Megatech Ltd five decades ago in Bedhampton.

Servicing and repairing equipment used in the high vacuum industry such as the MS17 Veeco Leak Detector became the core to its operation during the early days in 1973.

After 6 years of growth the decision was made to purchase the first Megatech building on 2A waterloo road where a dedicated service area could be utilised.
A year later their very first field service engineer position was offered to Tony Lane. Tony has been a faithful servant to Megatech since that first day in 1980.
2014 saw all of the companies come together under the QATCO group structure (Megatech Ltd, Megatech Europe, Megacold LLC, Megacold Ltd) with Quentin Jones as the Managing Director.

The aquistion of the Dublin office was a major 2022 highlight.

Fast forward to 2023 to mark #50yearsofMegatech and they are celebrating the decades of true service and commitment to supply specialist equipment of various manufacturing brands such as Entegris, Verity Instrument and Brooks Instrument to large scale projects.
