Quartztec Europe
Quartztec Europe was formerly Multi-lab Quartztec until October 2015 and before that it was a Heraeus flag ship site manufacturing for many market sectors including Semiconductor, Solar and Fibre optic.
It still retains its highly skilled workforce, these skills being passed on within the Quartztec Europe internal apprenticeship scheme, ensuring the longevity of retaining an excellent skill base, second to none and recognised worldwide.
Quartztec Europe is without doubt the largest fabricator of quartz glass in the UK and one of the top five in Europe. Our facility is a modern purpose build manufacturing facility, which is 50,000 sq ft with 5,000 sq ft of offices.
Currently we have a work force of 35 employees, all with many years’ experience in their specific fields from Technical Sales, CAD design, Production control, Manufacturing, QA and despatch control.
The highly qualified management team lead by Ron Jackman CEO with Gordon Whyte, Operations Director and their team have many years’ experience in the Semiconductor, Solar, Defence, Aerospace, Automotive industries to mention a few.
Quartztec Europe is planning a large expansion for the coming year with new state of the art equipment and the implementation of new working practices to enable the business to grow.

Over the course of 2020 we have all encountered challenges that no one could have foreseen.
We have worked internally and with our colleagues and peers in the industry to allow us to continue operating throughout 2020 and support our customers during this time.
We have also continued with our investment into site and are please to provide an update on the changes that have occurred within Quartztec this year…..

ASM Qualification
We secured ASM Qualification in Q1 2020 and have started to supply direct to ASM and of course now have access to the portal, meaning we have access to the most recent drawings and information.
ASM Qualification is a proud achievement for Quartztec, as this shows to the market place the high level of quality we produce and will give the market the confidence that Quartztec can meet their expectations

Trumpf Laser and new HAAS System
We now have our Trumpf Lasercell 1005 operational, providing a higher level of quality on specific parts. This has allowed us to ensure shorter lead times too, by increasing our capacity and reducing our cycle times.
In addition, we are taking receipt of a new HAAS system in Q4 2020, to again improve our efficiency, ensuring low lead times and high quality on our products and services.

Inspection Module Implementation
We have recently implemented a new Inspection Module into our process, which will allow us to improve our traceability of all parts and provide an inspection report for all items which includes barcodes and an improved experience for the customer.

These new additions to the business will allow us to improve our capacity and efficiency levels, plus the improvement in quality of product and service to our customers. We are looking forward to 2021 and are already planning continued investment into the business, to ensure we continue to offer the highest quality and product service to the market.
