IoT Security  Foundation

iot logo_newIn September 2015 NMI launched the Internet of Things Security Foundation (IoTSF), a non-profit organisation established to drive security excellence. As a collaborative, vendor-neutral and international initiative; the IoTSF is a dedicated expert resource to drive security excellence by sharing knowledge, best practice and advice.

Our mission is to help secure the Internet of Things, in order to aid its adoption and maximise its benefits.

To do this we will promote knowledge and clear best practice in appropriate security to those who specify,
make and use IoT products and systems.

Make it safe to connect

About the IoTSF

Due to the fall of technology costs, the benefits of the Internet of Things have become increasingly attractive and realisable across all market-sectors and will open-up new applications that we cannot yet conceive. The economic opportunity is estimated in trillions of dollars and employing billions of devices. IoT-icons_globe

With more and more devices becoming connected, the attack surface for adversaries is target-rich. IoT systems are breaking new ground and so are the security challenges. It is imperative that technology providers, system adopters and users work together to ensure security is fit-for-purpose. The IoT Security Foundation has been established to respond to the myriad of challenges and concerns over security.
